Lakewood Suzuki Strings’ violin students excel locally, regionally, and nationally. Our advanced students regularly:

  • Lead youth orchestras such as CYO and NOYO.
  • Earn spots in regional and state orchestras.
  • Gain acceptance into top music programs, including the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Berklee College of Music.

Our daughter became interested in the violin after listening to her favorite musician play a year ago in her school music class. She was hooked! We were thrilled to find LSS as we love the Suzuki method and thought it’d be a great environment for her. LSS has exceeded our expectations! The teachers are phenomenal-they know how to encourage and instruct students of all ages. Our daughter loves her private teacher, Clara. She knows just the right way to encourage and keep her excited and engaged for each lesson and for her at-home practice. The group classes have been amazing and help her and us have a support group for learning a new instrument. It has helped immensely. It’s like a family. The multiple performances help motivate her to practice and also encourage her as she loves watching the performers of all ages play. I’m very thankful for LSS.
